The Pavilion is part of Gathering Ground, the collective name for several venues in Hillsborough Park which are managed by Age UK Sheffield. RivelinCo are the official creative partner for the spaces, so several of our activities take place there.
Palestinian Tatreez
Join Tatreez Revival and RivelinCo for an immersive Palestinian Tatreez Workshop, where you'll learn the art of Palestinian embroidery. Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll create your own embroidered bookmark whilst exploring the rich cultural history and stories woven into each stitch. This hands-on session is perfect for beginners as well as embroidery enthusiasts, providing all the tools, materials, and guidance you need to bring a traditional design to life. Connect with others, embrace creativity, and celebrate a cherished cultural tradition!
All materials provided and no experience needed. Your ticket includes light refreshments.
Muna El-Zeet is a workshop facilitator and founder of Tatreez Revival, a collective dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich tradition of Palestinian embroidery – an art passed down to her by her grandmother, Samiha. Through workshops, kits, and events, she aims to make Tatreez easily accessible to all. Her work has reached many throughout the UK, including collaborations with Manchester Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Tickets are £15 but free spaces are also available. To request a free place please contact access@rivelinco.org. All ticket sales will be donated in support of the Palestinian people.
