The Pavilion is part of Gathering Ground, the collective name for several venues in Hillsborough Park which are managed by Age UK Sheffield. RivelinCo are the official creative partner for the spaces, so several of our activities take place there.
Day of the Dead: Remembering Our Loved Ones
For this year’s Day of the Dead, Mexican Principal Lecturer Elizabeth Uruchurtu, from Sheffield Hallam University, and Colombian End of Life doula Mariana Garcia, from Compassionate Sheffield, are uniting their knowledge and traditions to invite people to honour and remember those who aren’t physically with us anymore, in a similar way as is done in their birth countries.
This will be a safe, compassionate, supportive space for you to reminisce and celebrate the life of your loved one, so please bring a photo of this special person to the session (ideally a printed version). Everyone is welcome and there will be free refreshments.
Places are free but limited, so please book a ticket.
