Thank you for your interest in volunteering! We are keen for individuals, communities and groups to have the opportunity to get involved. With your time, skills and enthusiasm we can improve our neighbourhood, and the lives and wellbeing of people who live, work and play here, through creativity and arts.

Getting involved as a volunteer has so much to offer:

  • Meet new people
  • Positive effect on wellbeing
  • Learning or share skills
  • Develop your CV
  • Make a difference in your community
  • Try something new
  • Have fun!

There are a few different ways to get involved…

Share & Repair

We coordinate a community repair shop and skill-share which is entirely led by volunteers. Maybe you’re good with woodwork, ceramics, bikes, instruments, sewing, shoes, electricals or something else? Whether your skill is a hobby or a job – you’ll be very welcome! Share & Repair usually runs on a Saturday afternoon every couple of months, in and around S6.

Set up a group

We work out of a shop front on Middlewood Road, and we’re opening it up the front room for shared community use. We’d love to host some one-off or regular volunteer-led community activities there. Perhaps you fancy setting up a book club, a food bank collection, or a knit and natter? Or maybe you’ve got something else in mind? Click to find out more about how!

Fundraise for us

We are a not-for-profit organisation and always need help to raise funds to keep our work going. Maybe you’d consider a sponsored walk, run, swim, sculpt, head shave or something else? Maybe your school or workplace could to raise money for us? Or maybe you can support us with bid writing? We’d love to hear your ideas, and would really appreciate your support!

If you’d like to get involved, please get in touch with us by emailing hello@rivelinco.org, or give our office a call on 0114 327 1670
