RivelinCo’s Young Creatives group are raising money for Sheffield Children’s Hospital as part of the Pride of Yorkshire!
Young Creatives is a free weekly creative group for 11–16 year olds in North Sheffield, hosted by RivelinCo. We meet every Tuesday during term time and explore creativity in many forms – from creative writing, visual arts, theatre and film, to developing ideas for community projects and events.
The group has been running for nearly three years and is shaped by the ideas of the young people themselves. It provides a supportive space where they can express themselves, build confidence and work together as a creative collective.
Fundraising for Pride of Yorkshire
Through this fundraising, the group aims to raise £950 for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
The money raised will help support features that bring comfort, creativity and joy to young people during their stay… including artwork, creative activities, calm spaces and resources that help children feel more like themselves.
Once the fundraising target is reached, the Young Creatives will also decorate their own lion cub sculpture as part of the Pride of Yorkshire public art trail, celebrating 150 years of Sheffield Children’s Hospital. The trail will bring together artists, community groups and young people across South Yorkshire.
A Creative Litter Pick
As part of the fundraising campaign, the group will be taking part in a Creative Litter Pick on Saturday 21 March 2026!
Young Creatives will clear litter in Middlewood Park, Hillsborough Park & Philadelphia Gardens while also leaving behind small wooden artworks with positive messages. The aim is not only to clean up the spaces we use and care about, but also to brighten them – leaving visible reminders of creativity, care and community pride.

Supporting the Campaign
The group has already made a brilliant start. In December 2025, Young Creatives raised around £200 by selling their zines and handmade merchandise at the Festive Makers Market.
