We have been hosting Share & Repair, a community repair shop and skillshare, several times per year since 2022. We coordinate a brilliant team of volunteers who come together to fix clothing and fabric items, small electrical items, and bikes. We’ve also hosted one-off sessions fixing musical instruments, cleaning jewellery, and more.
Share & Repair exists to support people in our community to repair and reuse items rather than replace them or throw them away. It’s a sustainability project at heart, which also supports local people struggling with the cost of living.
We usually host Share & Repair from our shop front base in Hillsborough. We’ve also taken it out on tour, including to community centres, carnivals, and the Rotherham Show. It usually takes place every two months, and we’ll usually advertise the next date on our What’s On page. If you can’t see anything there at the moment, check back soon!
