Each year we try to host a global heritage craft workshop in Hillsborough Park.
In 2023, we hosted a Ugandan Bark Cloth workshop led by Afri Co Lab. Members of the community came together to learn about the unique properties of African fabrics and bark cloth, and created small sewing projects and collages together.
As part of our 2023 Midsummer Festival, we hosted a drop-in Somali weaving workshop, hosted by community weavers from Darnall in collaboration with The Bare Project.
In 2024 we hosted a Palestinian Tatreez embroidery workshop, taught by Sheffield-based Tatreez Collective, which raised £285 for Medical Aid for Palestinians.
