We are looking for local people who would like to host an activity as part of our 2026 Fun Palace!
When?
Saturday 3rd October 2026, 11:00-16:00
Where?
RivelinCo Neighbourhood Arts Space, 96-100 Middlewood Road
What is a Fun Palace?
A Fun Palace is a free event made by local people for their own community. At Fun Palaces people come together to share their skills, passions and interests, and to show the world just how brilliant and packed full of genius their community is!
Fun Palaces have been happening across the UK and beyond since 2014 (but the idea was first created in 1961!) bringing communities together to share skills, creativity and knowledge.

What happens at a Fun Palace?
Whatever you want! Past activities at other Fun Palaces have included origami, photography, drawing, edible sculpting, gardening, recipe sharing, science and ecology talks, kayaking, chapatti making, forensic investigation, cheerleading and battle rap, to name but a few.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for local people who are interested in volunteering their time and skills to run an activity as part of our RivelinCo Fun Palace on Saturday 3rd October.
This would be for the duration of the event (11:00-16:00) with a small budget available for resources.
This will be based primarily at our RivelinCo Neighbourhood Arts Space, 96-100 Middlewood Road, but if your idea involves going elsewhere e.g. the high street or park, we are open to getting creative!
