We’re looking for some brilliant volunteers to support our Midsummer Festival on Sunday 22nd June 2025 in Hillsborough Park. The festival will feature performances, creative activities, games and installations, sports, crafts, food, and collaborations with over 40 artists and community organisations. Volunteers play a crucial role in helping us to make it all happen!
The types of things we need your support with include:
- helping to set up and take down activities
- welcoming people to the event
- stewarding the event in busy areas
- supporting artists and members of the community to run activities and events
- helping in the green room, with registrations and refreshments
- helping keep the stage performances on schedule
- collecting donations for RivelinCo, to support the costs of the event and our future programme
- litter picking and ensuring the park is just as beautiful when we leave as when we arrive
- capturing creative content such as photos, videos, vox pops, and mini interviews
This opportunity is open to ages 18+ and there is no upper age limit. No previous experience in the arts is necessary. We’ll cover your expenses and you’ll be supported to gain experience in events, meet like-minded people, have fun, and know you’re doing a wonderful thing for and with your community! You can opt to help for the full day or half the day.

Please note some roles will involve some light manual handling, e.g. carrying items, setting up gazebos, movement between park locations etc – though we can be flexible if these activities are not accessible for you.
