Are you passionate about working with young people? Do you have a background in creative facilitation?
Join our team as a RivelinCo Youth Associate! As part of our flexible pool, you’ll provide essential facilitation cover for our regular creative youth sessions in Hillsborough and North Sheffield, and lead activities during our school holiday programmes. You’ll help the young people who attend our sessions build their creative skills and feel comfortable expressing themselves authentically in a shared space. To see some examples of the types of projects we run, please click here.
We ideally need freelance facilitators with Tuesday evening availability, and general availability during school holidays. Some shifts will be planned in advance, and some will be ad hoc and/or at short notice, for example to cover illness. You will not be required to work every week, and will have the right to turn down shifts if you’re not available.
This is a casual freelance contract. Fees will be £25 per hour, up to a maximum of 8 hours (or £200) per day. For example, assisting a two hour evening session with 30mins setup/packdown either side would be paid £75. If you are leading a session, you will be paid additional time for planning – usually 1-2 hours extra at the same rate. Training time will also be paid at the same rate. Hours and fees for each shift will be agreed with the Youth Engagement Coordinator in advance, and paid via invoice.
To apply, please email your CV and a short covering letter (no more than 2 sides of A4) to recruitment@rivelinco.org by 2pm on Monday 20th January 2025. Please ensure your covering letter responds to the list of requirements in the person specification outlined below.
We will be in touch with everyone to share the outcome by Friday 24th January, and informal interviews will take place on Friday 31 January at our base in Hillsborough, Sheffield.
If you would prefer to apply using a different format such as video or audio, or would like to discuss anything else related to access or the job, please contact us on recruitment@rivelinco.org. Please note this inbox will not be monitored over the Christmas period.
