Cleaner or Caretaker

Job description

We are looking for a self employed cleaner or caretaker to help us look after our Neighbourhood Arts Space, a small community space and office on Middlewood Road.

Essential criteria:

Available for a routine weekly clean (approx 2 hours, ideally on a Monday or Wednesday)

Reliable and friendly

Takes pride in their work and has good attention to detail

Available for occasional additional hours, on an ad hoc flexible basis. You will be a keyholder for the space, and as such may also occasionally be asked to open up/lock up for events.

Desirable criteria:

Ability and willingness to carry out other small tasks in the building, such as window cleaning, cosmetic jobs such as picture hanging, small repairs, painting etc

Ability and willingness to occasionally welcome groups hiring the space when the core team aren’t working

More information:

The space has a small office, a multi-use community space, a storage area and quiet space, a small kitchen, and two small toilets.

You must have the right to work in the UK, be registered self employed, and have your own insurance. The role will be subject to two references.

At the moment we need someone self employed, however we may be able to consider PAYE employment in the future, pending funding.
